I cant put the stack of gold you find on charlie station into an ore silo or lathe. it just says it doesnt have sufficient materials, but it's GOLD. If i take out one gold at a time, it works. otherwise it wont take it.

The gold does not contain sufficient materials to be accepted by the ancient protolathe.
You hit the ancient protolathe with the gold.
