About The Pull Request

Reverts: #5387

Adds a Corporate Sponsorship for Evil bundle to the uplink (basically an excuse to murderbone)

  • 20 TC purchase, has to be the first purchase, locks the uplink
  • Once putting on the provided cloak it alerts ghost and admins that you are allowed to murderbone.
  • The hat gives buffs: space proofing, fearless, and immunity to pain.
  • The hat gives you a red aura once worn.
  • The cloak gets stuck to you once put on and can't be removed.
  • You can't remove the hat yourself but if someone else does it gibs you and then explodes.

Why It's Good For The Game

An invisible murderbone pass makes for an ahelp generating machine. This lets people know the person attacking them has the pass.

I like this idea but I have to say about this:

I don't think this should have any inherent benefits tied to it, no regen and whatnot. And in turn it shouldn't cost any TC or lock you out of the uplink. Making it take up all your TC stifles the creativity a murderbone traitor would normally have, this makes it impossible to do gimmicks with traitor items. (For example, no buying bombs or teleporters or etc.)

An edge case you might want to think about, is when the traitor has some way to revive after being gibbed, like an autoprocessing cloner or slime person cloning. It'd be nice if those new bodies kept the murderboning permission.

An edge case you might want to think about, is when the traitor has some way to revive after being gibbed, like an autoprocessing cloner or slime person cloning. It'd be nice if those new bodies kept the murderboning permission.

For the cloning/pod person revival part it needs some admin ruling on that. I would like it if the permission only carries as long as you wear the clothing but that's a bit obtuse for some. I will remove the regen and hardly wounded but keep the space proofing effects as you can't exactly remove the hat. As for it locking you uplink and using your TC, I think it's fair as you get to bypass escalation requirements. There are still plenty of ways to creatively murder without uplink items.

Yeah you get to skip escalation, but you also have a big "Valid me" sign on you, and while yes there are plenty of ways to kill people, you're still a traitor and it would be nice to have traitor tools to murder. In my mind it's comparable to if say heretics could choose to be able to murderbone while being obvious, but they then aren't able to get any knowledge to do heretic things for their murderboning.

there should be a dull version of the cloak with a different sprite for nukies and syndie ghostrole ranking officers because drip
