iPres 2022 (12-16 September, Glasgow)
- The presentation will be in track "Online Innovation 1" on Tuesday
- Aaron is named as presenter, but will not be able to join remotely live. Maybe a recording might be provided.
- Inge, Karen and Juha will be in Glasgow, Tobias will join at least remotely

- No abstract needed; content of abstract could be reused for enhancement of introduction
- Word "manifest" is removed
- Related work is not needed
- The usage of "METS 1" is now consistent in all sections
- Juha enhanced the Files section
- The lists of attributes might be compressed (e. g. comma separated)
- All examples should look similar
- The White Paper should be moved to a GitHub page for publication
- Next steps: Clean-up and format, addition of another full, more complicated example with complex struct map (Juha will convert a real life METS 1 file to METS 2 for this)
- A search at GitHub revealed many unregistered profiles
- There are probably over 1000 profiles
- Current profiles are useful and widely used
- Machine actionable profiles would be useful and were requested in the past, but are difficult to implement. Maybe later.
- METS Profiles should be available for METS 2 as well
- Continue with registration, but move the process to GitHub
- Although profiles are mostly free text, the XML structure makes sense as its sections are often used by other documentations and for own developments in Schematron
- Maybe registered profiles should get persistent identifiers
- We should get feedback on how profiles are used
-> August meeting
- Discuss feedback mechanism (METS 2, profiles)
- Examples (for transformation: Andreas, complex full example: Juha)
- Concepts for new overview, new tutorial, new profile XSD
