More detailed description on how to patch driver

Hi,
thanks for sharing this exciting project. I am trying to implement this, but I do not fully understand how to patch the driver. Pretty much I got stuck on step 1 inside the readme. Could you give more detailed instructions on how the patch command is applied in this case?

Because of other software packages, I need to use Ubuntu 20.04, so I am using a different kernel (5.15.0-67-generic). Could this still work with the kernel I am using, or what would I have to change to get this to work with the kernel I am using?

You will likely need to use the 4.19 kernel OR modify the patch for the kernel you want. Check out raspberrypi/linux#6882 & raspberrypi/linux#4358 (comment)
