Cannot set above 100% anymore on XDR display (V. 3.2.1 vs V. 3.5.5)

Using my current (old) version I can make the display brighter than the SDR max.
The latest version (3.5.5) does not allow me to do so.
What am I doing wrong?

I think you might have the "Brightness Upscaling" feature off. Just open the submenu and enable it. This will by default enable native XDR upscaling (on built-in screen) which is Preset based - the max will be 100% but it should be obvious that upscaling is enabled.

If you want the old-school (software) upscaling, you can enable native XDR upscaling under the display's settings in the app.

Ok, that did the trick...
May I note that when opening the app, the screen flashes black once which was not the case with software based brightness upscaling (aka how version 3.2.1 worked)

You can revert to software brightness upscaling if you prefer the old way. The native upscaling requires an XDR Preset change, thus the flash on startup.
