Missing names in eclipse gitignore file

Hello,

Thank you for the practical tool that is gitignore.io.

I just remarked that in the gitignore file generated for eclipse, these files/directory names are missing: .classpath, .settings and .projetc. These files miss intentionaly or this
is just a forgetting?

The Eclipse template contents are pulled in a submodule from the official gitignore template repository hosted by GitHub: https://github.com/github/gitignore/blob/master/Global/Eclipse.gitignore. There may be a PR in one of their issues to address these missing files. If not, I'll see if i can come up with a way to make template patches to combine similar templates into one file since the official repo isn't maintained as frequently.

I'm going to close this, I've opened up another issue to create a .patch template format so we can add features to GitHub's official templates before they update them. For now please submit this pull request to the GitHub repo and I will add these features when I create the .patch directory.

+1 Came here looking for an answer to the same issue. I still need to manually add .classpath and .project to gitignore file.

I checked if there was an open PR for this upstream and there was not. I created PR upstream to include the "fix": github/gitignore#1338

Good news, everyone! Eclipse gitignore .classpath and .project have been merged upstream in github/gitignore@8bc0e53

I've also added it to the .patch file https://www.gitignore.io/api/eclipse. I'll take them out when I pull the GitHub's master list:
