What is the MSRV policy for this crate?

We currently use the tracing crate in smol-rs, which has an MSRV pinned to Debian Stable (at the moment this is Rust v1.63). However, tracing has occasionally been an issue by virtue of bumping the MSRV beyond our limits. Are there any plans to add an MSRV policy for these crates? Pin it to a Linux distro's Rust, or set it to stable minus some number?

There's a section in the readme, it's at least the last three minor versions of rust, but usually it's more than that. Currently, it's 1.65.

tracing also has the rust-version field in Cargo.toml so I think that cargo should correctly resolve the highest version compatible with your rustc.
