Thanks for this, seems OK for me.
I would just like to keep migen and misoc directories near HDMI2USB-misoc-firmware and not included in it, or eventually be able to do both. Can you look at that?

I've changed this now to move all extra built components into a build/
subdirectory rather than cluttering up things in the project root; I
believe @mithro will probably need to make bigger changes to this if you
want it seperated out.

I'm just working through the existing instructions/code + making small
improvements, with the simple goal of making this "just work" on a brand
new Ubuntu 14.04 install (to help with adoption).

Will push up another commit once fully tested (attempting to build firmware
currently).

ping @mithro - this isn't 100% finished - still on my TODO. I've got some local changes I haven't pushed up yet which I still need to fully test on a fresh VM. Sorry, probably should have closed this PR when I realised!
