We could just fork the repo, but could do something more official, like transferring the repo to our org (preserving open PRs and issues). Happy to chat. The world needs a good python dbapi driver and sqlalchemy dialect for Snowflake!

Any rationale for why development has stopped by the way? What alternatives are proposed instead?

Likewise, please could we get some explanation as to why this has been dropped? The official docs make no mention of it.
