  • I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.

Overall summary

If I go to paste a image from a path that has Esperanto character in it (Elŝutoj specifically), Signal crashes with an issue involving the render process.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to a chat
  2. Click the attachment icon
  3. Find a image from a path with Esperanto in it (Elŝutoj)
  4. Upload

Expected result

File is inserted in message to friend

Actual result

Application crashes
