This would allow overriding the default value of using 4 threads. It wouldn't be very useful for Raspberry Pi's as they afaik cap out at 4 cores, but for every other type of machine with more than 4 cores this could result in speed improvements if increased by the user.

I would love to have this capability. I poked around seeing if there was an existing argument for it. Pleased to see that someone has already written a PR for the same thing.

I would also love to have this added. Can't use all of my CPU's threads!
