Description of Issue

• What did you expect to happen?
  Ability to configure visualization of df -- view only selected columns, and re-ordering preferences, resize over all widget and column width, save config to app/qgrid/config
• What happened instead?

created a widget on top of qgrid with accordion (ipywidgets) with a tab for config.

Anything else?

In several cases there is no substitute for a table view. While the end users will accept our analyses, they want a particular preferred view of it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Some of the things you're suggesting could be done in python code when you show the grid, and in that sense the "configuration" is persisted in the code of the notebook. For example you can provide column widths via the column_definition argument when you call show_grid. But it sounds like you want to be able to configure the grid using the GUI control and then click "save" to save the config.

That would be a cool feature to add...not sure exactly how it would work to be honest but maybe we could store it in the metadata of the cell somehow. It would have to be stored in the notebook file because otherwise the configuration would be lost when you re-run the notebook. I'll have to think about it some more but thanks for the suggestion.
