Possible to load image file into texture without hello_imgui?

All of the code I can find in the imgui_bundle repo uses hello_imgui to load image files into textures, for use in imgui.image and similar.

Is there any exposed API that does this (load an image or image file into a texture) without needing the hello_imgui infrastructure enabled?

I'm getting pretty close to this working, I think, but I can't bridge one final gap.

I'm using the SDL2 backend, and there's a convenient SDL function to return an opaque pointer to an SDL texture. The problem is extracting the OpenGL texture ID from that to pass to imgui.image() and friends.

        renderer = sdl2.SDL_GetRenderer(sdl_window)

        sdl_texture = sdl2.sdlimage.IMG_LoadTexture(
            renderer,
            filepath.encode('utf-8')
        )
        gl_texture_id = extract_gl_texture_id(sdl_texture)    # Magic goes here!
        imgui.image(gl_texture_id)

Any clue about what goes in that magic? This imgui ticket makes it look like the SDL_Texture* is really an int* pointing to the OpenGL ID?
