Sluggish and Slow to respond

Describe the bug
For the past several months the app has been sluggish to respond to my commands. Take a long time to open (over 20 seconds) or add an episode to queue (over 30 seconds). If I download an episode and move it to the last queue before it's finished downloading it will be at the top of the queue. If I play an episode, because it's so laggy, and select a different episode to play before the last one ended it sometimes works but it always stops playing anything for over 30 seconds.
Generally speaking, it takes 10 to 30 seconds to do anything in the Android app.

Generally the Android app is an unpleasant experience due to the lagginess of the responses to my input.

Expected behavior

• App opens in less than 5 seconds.
• Move queue is less than 1 second.
• selecting to play a podcast plays the podcasts immediately.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

• App Version: 4.16.4 Build 5248
• Device: OnePlus12
• OS: OxygenOS15

Additional context
Sometimes, I open the app on my driveway (where wifi can teach) and then drive off. This seems to really upset the app. There appears to be no difference in app responsiveness (not screen size media queries) if I'm on Wi-Fi or cellular.

On app version 4.16.3, running on Pixel 7 with Graphene OS 2025061600 and having the same problem. Takes over 2 minutes to add an episode to queue. And it still doesn't play automatically.
