Copilot Pro Access not enabled

Hi all, apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this.

I'm trying to enable Copilot Pro for me account -- I have been verified as a Teacher.

The instructions on this support page don't seem to line up with reality: https://docs.github.com/en/copilot/managing-copilot/managing-copilot-as-an-individual-subscriber/managing-your-github-copilot-pro-subscription/getting-free-access-to-copilot-pro-as-a-student-teacher-or-maintainer

In the upper-right corner of any page, click your profile photo, then click Your Copilot.
If you qualify for free access to Copilot, you will see a page titled "GitHub Copilot Pro" informing you that you are eligible. Click Get access to GitHub Copilot.
On the page that appears, configure the Copilot use policies to meet your needs, then click Save and complete.

I don't see any of the buttons mentioned on the Your Copilot page. Am I missing something here?

Note that I have copilot working, but it is the free version so I have hit my limit for code completions.

Never mind, I had to press the big button for buying Copilot Pro before it detected that I was eligible for free access to Pro.

So I suppose the instructions are still wrong, but my issue is resolved at least :)

From a usability perspective, I wouldn't make the only way to enable the feature is for someone to click past what otherwise appears as a pay-wall.

How to enable Copilot Pro for GitHub Education verified students/teachers?
Once you have been successfully approved as a verified student or educator, your academic benefits will become available within a few days. You will receive an email when your academic benefits are ready to be redeemed.

Once the benefits are applied, Copilot Pro can be claimed via the benefits page or this signup link.
