Makes sense to me, this would for example make it possible to filter profile samples by function or source file name.

Hi @rockdaboot, could you please create a new centralized issue for discussing all those profile data-access implementation details together (if not existing), linking the issues you've already created? It would be nice to clarify what types will become a new OTTL context, issues dependencies, blockers, etc. so other community members can start picking them up in the correct order. Thank you!
