Can we customize the UI of the Video Player

Thanks for this amazing plugin.

I have a query regarding exploring the possibilities to customize the UI of the video player.
Our client requirement is to have different (custom) UI for the video player. Is it possible to customize the video player UI? or it completely depends on the device 's video player interface?

If customization is possible, then will it be done at native side or can we do it using HTML?

Please let me know the possibilities.

It has been quite a while since I worked with the video player so my info is very dated at this point, but I don't remember there being a while to style the player UI, as it was using the system player. That does not mean there isn't some way to hook into the system to change the icons and scrub bar, but I do not remember that being an option.
