This test could flake because we currently don't provide read-after-write guarantees when using DirectGet. Disabling DirectGet means only the leader can answer, which ensures the immediate level of consistency this test expects.

The leader answering still doesn't 100% guarantee read-after-write, that needs to be fixed as part of #6557. Once we support that, this test can be adapted to use DirectGet again, but with the additional read-after-write guarantee.
