Find new way to create Helm chart #821

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Again and again we have issues with the Helm chart. Latest was #751 .
We currently use kustomize, manifests, and helmify to create the chart. But this also includes some glue code and sed/yq magic.
Describe the solution you'd like
We should try to create the Helm chart in a different way. Less tools and less magic would also be nice.
