Description
User Experience:
The additional announcement can be time-consuming for the visually impaired users and cognitive users who rely on screen readers as the unnecessary announcements will be verbose and disorient the users.
Note: Login Credentials must not be provided within the bug.
Pre-requisite:
Azure database should be installed from extensions in VS code.
Repro Steps
- Open VS Code and navigate to azure databases button present on right pane.
- Navigate to anyone of the resource and expand it. Expand a database. Right click on any collection and select "Open Query editor(Preview)".
- Query editor screen appears. Navigate through all controls of the screen like query editing and all the controls appearing.
- Verify if entering an input in the editor section, the screen reader announces as "Editor Content Press Alt+F1 for Accessibility Options" instead of only the typed letter.
Actual Result:
When entering an input in the editor section, the screen reader Narrator announces as "Editor Content Press Alt+F1 for Accessibility Options" instead of only the typed letter.
Observation: Same issue is not repro with NVDA and JAWS as both screen readers will only announce information of typed input.
Expected Result:
Narrator should announce the information of “Editor Content Press Alt+F1 for Accessibility Options" only for the first time when focus on editor section and when user enters an input in the editor section, then the screen reader Narrator should announce only the typed letter information instead of "Editor Content Press Alt+F1 for Accessibility Options".
