Description
User Experience:
Visually impaired users who rely on screen reader for navigation would be impacted if the screen reader doesn't announce the error message information which is displayed on screen and the user will not be able to correct the error.
Note: Login Credentials must not be provided within the bug.
Pre-requisite:
Azure database should be installed from extensions in VS code.
Repro Steps
- Open VS Code and navigate to azure databases button present on right pane.
- Navigate to anyone of the resource and expand it. Expand a database. Right click on any collection and select "Open Query editor(Preview)".
- Query editor screen appears. Run any sample query. Data in table appears under results tab.
- Select anyone of the table content and activate edit button. Right pane appears.
- Navigate all controls of right pane also make changes and save the content.
- Verify if an incorrect value is entered in the editor console, screen reader does not announce any information about the error message that appears.
Actual Result:
When an incorrect value is entered in the editor console, screen reader does not announce any information about the error message that appears.
Observation: Same issue exists with both NVDA and JAWS. Both the screen readers only announce the combo box information but didn't announce the error message information.
Expected Result:
When an incorrect value is entered in the editor console, Screen reader should announce the information about the error message that appears.
