Hi @unxed! I know we have already talked about the problems related to keyboard layouts, but can you provide a specific example of what doesn't work in Kitty?

1. Install English and Russian keyboard layout
2. Run turbo in kitty
3. Switch to Russian layout
4. Press Alt+X

Expected behavior: exit from app
Observed behavior: nothing happens

kitty's keyboard protocol has "base layout key" (base means en-US here) field to help with situations like this. It contains char that would be generated by the pressed key if English layout is selected — special feature to implement hotkeys working in any keyboard layout.
