For Linux or Mac users, the recommended tool for ESP82xx/ESP32 is `esptool.py <https://github.com/espressif/esptool>`_

Platform independent software (works also on Linux):
* ``ESPWebTool`` just use Chrome or Edge browser to flash usb connected ESP board. For Firefox you need to install extra addon. Can be found at `ESPWebTool <https://esp.huhn.me/>`_

Adding the link to https://github.com/kuba2k2/firefox-webserial for the Firefox plugin would be helpful for many users 😉
This tool should also work on Opera browser, as that's also one of the (few) browsers supporting the used WebSerial protocol.

NB: Not sure what types of ESP are supported, but the site wouldn't work for me on an ESP32-C6. The terminal feature of the same maker works fine though, also with the Firefox plugin (and its external add-on). Tested on Windows, should also work on Linux.
Maybe it has to be forced into Flash-mode manually.
