How to upload a model?

I have a .rbxm model that is a Map that I saved from Roblox and want it saved in my Assets folder. When I do asphalt sync I get this error:
Failed to process file Assets/Maps/Museum.rbxmx: Root class name is not KeyframeSequence

How do I convince asphalt I'm trying to upload a Model NOT an Animation?

Hello @Zidiam!

Uploading Roblox models with the .rbxm extension is, unfortunately, not possible with the Open Cloud API. (However, uploading 3D models with the .fbx extension is possible)

Theoretically, we may be able to support it given adequate demand by using a legacy API, but I’d be very curious to know the use case. It’s not super common for creators to upload models to use in their games.

@jackTabsCode I'm not sure, basically I have a map model that is saved as a .rbxm, when I do rojo build and play the game it makes the map lose some parts! I saved my Map model to ReplicatedStorage. So the map builder sent me this file and I placed it in visual studio code. But when I use his map and just upload it directly then load the asset in using InsertService:LoadAsset it works perfectly.

So this image here as you see its here and when I do rojo build this map doesnt load in properly and is missing parts and more.

This sounds like a bug you should report in the OSS server #rojo channel. Rojo build should always work.

@jackTabsCode I've had this bug for years, this would take them too long to solve since it requires them to comb through my large models. But I will take it to them, would you ever consider supporting model uploads? I would even pay 25$ right now if you are interested.

I'm sure if you can pinpoint to a Rojo maintainer something in your project that isn't building correctly, they should be able to find the issue pretty easily.

@jackTabsCode Also here it says that Asphalt could do models. Or is this something else?

This is the "3d model" thing I mentioned earlier (different from "Roblox models"). It's actually not a very useful feature and I only included it because it didn't require any extra work.

Well I spent the last 6 hours of trying to get it to work and it looks like Roblox doesn't have a way to upload .rbxm files as models. It could be that I missed something but my way around it was to disguise the .rbxm model as a 3d model, the upload was a success but no asset Id gets generated and doesnt actually get uploaded. So I was close but unfortunately I can't continue working on this due to time restrictions. Wish you the best @jackTabsCode and thanks for your time.
