Case : applied themes is black/dark, but when opening Youtub app the background color of splash animation is white, not black.

When I tested on android emulator, this issue was not reproduced.

Is it only reproduced on certain manufacturer ROMs?

Yes, I'm also facing this issue.

Using latest stable patches and recommended APK version.

Dark theme is enabled in the app, but still getting white background in splash screen.

Everything was fine till v5.6.1-dev.4, I think it started with dev.5

I can confirm. I patch the original youtube apk again (v.19.57.43), this time without "restore the old style splash animation" patch option, and the background color is black, working perfectly normal like it used to be, just without the animated icon.

It should have been fixed in revanced-patches-5.6.2-dev.1, but since the issue doesn't reproduce on my side, testing is needed.

Performed a clean Mount install of the Application.

In revanced-patches-5.6.2-dev.2, all commits related to the Custom branding icon patch were rolled back.

It should work.

I must be doing something wrong...cuz it's still white for me on dark theme. Patched using 19.47.53

Mine hasn't been fixed either.

Even after unchecking the "restore the old style splash animation" option, it was still white.

If I set only YouTube to dark mode, it stays white. But when I set my phone to dark mode, YouTube turns black. Is this normal?
