What are the specifics of the retr_queries_split and the retr_distractors_split files?

I am currently trying to understand the specifics of your benchmark.
However, I do not understand the contents of the retr_queries_split and retr_distractors_split files in the tasks/ folder.

Could somebody explain to me, how they are used exactly?
