Request

Add the Splunk HEC Receiver from OTELCol

Use case

We already have the Splunk HEC Exporter available in Alloy, adding the Splunk HEC Receiver would allow us to ingest data from platforms that only output to Splunk such as PEGA

This would be great for streaming GitHub Audit Logs using Splunk's HTTP Event Collector endpoint.

Thanks for the feedback! This certainly sounds like a useful component. I'm adding the proposal label to it so it gets reviewed during regular proposal meetings for the Alloy maintainers to consider adding it.

if you or another community member are interested in contributing it, we would be open to reviewing a PR. It may have to be a community component, I'm not certain at the moment.
