Update: Model Weight Release Not Approved #16

Dear MAGVIT Users,
Thank you for your continued interest and support. Regrettably, we must inform you that the release of our model weights was not approved by our company.
Our aim is to foster development within this under-researched area, hence our effort to release all source code for the project. This will enable everyone to train the model using the provided code.
We recognize that releasing the model weights would significantly facilitate progress. However, in the current environment, publishing papers, let alone releasing code and model weights, in the industry lab, has become increasingly challenging. Despite our diligent efforts, our proposal was not approved.
We understand and share your frustration after the lengthy anticipation. In response, we are exploring alternative solutions, such as finding computational resources for an external lab to train the model outside of the company, using our released code.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and remain committed to advancing research in this field.
