this is not a ghostty bug you cannot kill a non responsive ssh connection on any terminal without either killing the process or sending the escape builtin to ssh to quit which is ~. if ~. is not working right away there may be text in your buffer press enter and then press those keys. I do this almost every day at work so yes its not a ghostty issue
