Issue Description

It's when I open Ghostty.

So, for my PC specs. I have a i5-2500 with 4gb ddr3 RAM yes I'm not kidding.

There's always going to be a delay due to how GTK works. Subsequent launches would be faster if you have gtk-single-instance enabled.

What is the lag?

Its known ghostty will take 100-300ms to startup on most machines there isnt much ghostty can do about this.

If you set gtk-single-instance=true in your config then you only pay this startup cost once

You can even go as far as adding something like a systemd with
ghostty --gtk-single-instance=true --initial-window=false --quit-after-last-window-closed=false

To only pay the startup cost once on login
