I was my config is pretty empty

Oh yeah forgot to try a default config, looks like the embedded Nerd Font icons may have messed up nerd font icons.

I had a font-codepoint-map which maps all the Nerd Font icon ranges to the Symbols Nerd Font Mono font I have on my system (see below), and commenting out that line allows me to reproduce this too.

Np. So, is it a some kind of bug that, out of the box, Ghostty cannot print at least one nerd font?

Yep. Ghostty embeds the Nerd Font icons, and it seems like the Deno symbol in the font it has embedded is broken or something.

(I couldn't see the issue initially because I had told Ghostty explicitly to use my system Nerd Font Symbols font, ignoring the embedded one.)

Those are different.

There are two variations of the Nerd Font symbols: the normal one and the Mono one. The Mono version has smaller icons, and those two posts are about how people who have Mono-sized icons want icons the size of the normal one. The Deno icon here is insanely small comparatively.
