When you click ESP-IDF: Select device target, you can see the output in menu Output -> ESP-IDF.

The process of updating the device target takes some time. If it is frozen at some point, please take a look at the output and share it, maybe is failing at some point.

Same for confserver. It takes time to launch the confserver the first time, if you have any issue when build these command might not work.

使用idf.py menuconfig 可以进行简单配置。但是在vscode中没办法显示。

在sdkconfig中可以可以通过CONFIG_IDF_TARGET="esp32p4" 进行修改。
但是软件完整的功能无法使用。
VSCode，和ESP-IDF拓展，ESP-IDF版本配置。我都卸载了，重新安装，ESP-IDF拓展是v1.10.1,ESP-IDF版本是v5.4.1。还是只能build，不能选芯片，不能SDK配置

Please share the output of menu Output -> ESP-IDF when you are running SDK Configuration editor and or ESP-IDF Setting device target

Also could you provide an example project for me to reproduce the issue? I've tested with v5.4.0 on Windows 11 using blink example and it works ok.
