Volume adjustments on Element Call are confusing

Steps to reproduce

1. Turn media volume all the way down (how I usually have it
2. Join a call on Element X Android on Pixel 8 Pro
3. Try to turn up volume using hardware switch because I can't hear the other person
4. Volume for "phone" gets turned up but the other person is coming through as "media"

Outcome

What did you expect?

The other person's audio should br coming out of "phone" output (with speaker) rather than as "media"

What happened instead?

Audio is coming out as "media" and adjusting using hardware switch adjusts "phone" volume
