"Sign out" should give immediate feedback that it is doing something

I clicked it and it sat for a good 20 seconds before I finally got a "Lost connectivity with the server" warning, followed by 5-10 more seconds of waiting for the login screen to finally appear.

Would be nice to get a full page spinner or immediate redirection to the login page (followed by spinner).
