cannot join matrix room via element browser

Steps to reproduce

1. go to https://matrix.to/#/#dev:matrix.cashu.space
2. log in
3. paste address in 1. in browser
   
4. continue
5. observe perpetual loading screen (sometimes I see "join room" option; again unsuccessful in proceeding)
   

Outcome

What did you expect?

Join a public matrix room using a browser, and desktop app.

What happened instead?

Cannot join a public matrix room. Same problem with iOS app.

P.s. No idea how to "rageshake". A "bug" button would be tremendous helpful for non-experts of Matrix 🐞

I was personally invited to the server via matrix username, since the generic invite link didnt work.

I was able to join one room, and cannot join the general room in the cashu server.

Submitted logs.
