App freezes when switching between two rooms with Jitsi widgets

Steps to reproduce

1. Start a Jitsi conference in room A
2. Start a Jitsi conference in room B
3. Join the Jitsi conference in room B
4. Switch to room A

Outcome

What did you expect?

To switch to room A.

What happened instead?

The app instantly freezes. If you open the console prior to triggering the crash, you see this flood of logs:
