not really sure how verbose we want to get here. i initially put some code stubs for every piece of wiring, but it felt super overwhelming. considering there are 2 configurations (DI, non-DI).
not sure if this doc is meant to be a long winded document tutorial, or just a quick reference for whats changing and whats new.

I think we should have this guide as is (pretty light) and then have literal step-by-step guides for DI and non-DI users
