Paperless-ngx LXC: No update

Hi,

I cannot update my Paperless-ngx LXC: Nothing happens after typing "update" into the LXC console, literally nothing. No error message or what so ever.

I'm currently running on Paperless-ngx 2.13.5.

Hi, I just wanted to confirm that I'm experiencing the same issues:

The default update command includes a broken URL:
raw is duplicated and causes a 404.
I fixed it by changing the line to:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/main/ct/paperless-ngx.sh

When selecting option 2 to view credentials, the script fails with:
cat: paperless.creds: No such file or directory
That's because the file is actually created at /root/paperless.creds, so the line should be:
cat /root/paperless.creds

Just to clarify:
The issue happens only with new installations, not when updating existing ones.

I've tested it three times with fresh CT installs and got the same result:

• The default update command doesn't work — it gives command not found.

• After checking, I found that the URL in the update command is broken:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/raw/main/ct/paperless-ngx.sh

• After removing the extra /raw, it works perfectly:

bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/main/ct/paperless-ngx.sh)"

So the script itself is great, but the default update command seems to contain a small typo.

Unfortunately not:

root@paperless-ngx:# update
-bash: update: command not found
root@paperless-ngx:#

Consequently, I cannot log in to the web end either.

I have now installed this script three times. Also with different options, but it does not work.
Or is there another script?

Update or install?

I dont know how you do "update" its an general function for all CTS, and i build 10-20 Scripts all days and there it work.

Install. But on the fifth attemp, Update was found and I got the credentials at least.

If your script doesn't allow a successful installation, perhaps the "update" content hasn't been updated yet (this will be fixed soon).

Edit the "update" file (nano /usr/bin/update) and follow these instructions, which worked for me: #3502 (reply in thread)
