Wrap selected text in brackets instead of replacing it:
e.g. typing hello, selecting the word, and then typing ( should wrap the word as (hello) instead replacing the word: ()

If you have Auto Close Braces enabled it does that. And you shouldn't have the other brackets-automatch-pairs extension enabled. Both features might interfere with each other.

Heh, on the flip side I hate that behavior and it is one of the main reasons (along with #3246) I always leave 'Auto Close Braces' turned off :-)
