Test if a binary is available

Ahoy there!

I'm eager to find a way to avoid authoring raw bash by hand, and I came across Batsh. The first thingI tried was to try portinga script that tests whether a certain command is available in $PATH. I can't find a way to do this directly in Batsh, or even indirectly using a status code. Is there a way?
