The python backend has an improved error handling and return value handling, and it is possible to get these improvements with the mechanical rpc backend. The change in dev to the mechanical rpc backend has not yet landed, so this PR does not enable that yet. It just implements the plumbing needed without breaking tests.
Stage 1:
depends on a new release of ansys-api-mechanical with this change.
