Why you change license of aiohttp ?

Hi,

I see you change the license from MIT to Apache.
For me, it's almost the same thing, BSD license family.
What's the reason to change ?

They aren't the same. Apache is also cares about patent bits and is more lawyers friendly. I believe that was the root of motivation.

But still better than GPL (:

Initial license was BSD, not MIT.
We changed it to Apache by some request.
I feel there are no differences for our users: they still can use it for free and fork for modifications on their own.

another reason is asyncio licensed under apache.
