I used Pfade / Teilpfade for strings / substrings. It's certainly better than Zeichenketten / Teilworte, but does anyone have another translation?

I didn't translate them cause german ones (EINFG and ÜB) sound a bit odd. Visual Studio does indeed translate them.
I'd prefer a tooltip like Einfügen - klicken zum Ändern
