Description:
Brackets UI won't appear if you launch it while Windows is still starting up. I just see the gray window frame, but it's all white inside. No UI. I've seen this multiple times, for a while now. It always happens in the morning when my PC is starting up. I always shut down my ThinkPad W510 (Win 7 x64) in the evening and power it back on in the morning. After I login (McAfee encryption), I then usually launch Outlook first thing. Then I launch Brackets second usually. I launch Brackets while things are still starting up in the background (Outlook is still churning, Dropbox is starting up, Creative Cloud, Cisco Jabber, McAfee, etc.)
Repro using Brackets v44, Win 7 x64. UTR for me using Brackets on Mac 10.8. I haven't tested this on Win 8.
Repro steps:
Shut down Windows PC in evening.
Turn on Windows PC the next morning.
Launch Outlook (not sure if this is important, but it's what I do).
Launch Brackets.
Actual results:
I just see the gray window frame for Brackets, but it's all white inside. No UI.
Expected results:
Brackets starts up fine.
Workaround:
Close Brackets and restart it.
I also think if I wait a few minutes for my PC to finish booting up and for background processes to complete, then Brackets launches OK the first time.
