Mac: Chrome tab not given focus when opened

1. Debug > Show Dev Tools
2. Chrome is given focus with a new tab
3. Arrange Brackets so that it overlaps this window
4. Close window (not app) using red (x) button (not Cmd-Q)
5. Debug > Show Dev Tools again

Result:
Dev Tools are opened in Chrome, but window stays behind Brackets. Since windows are overlapped, it doesn't look like anything happened.

Expected:
Chrome window comes to front.

I am seeing the same behavior. I guess I never saw it because I use dual monitors.

well i think the problem is in the Brackets Shell

in this file: appshell_extensions_mac.m
path: brackets-shell / appshell / appshell_extensions_mac.mm

in that file he validate if the chrome is open or not, if not open he create a new instance, after that, he validate some other things like tabs open and if exist one tab with the file to live preview open but he never give the focus to the Chrome, i think this can help.

@Azakur4 thanks for looking into this.

It seems that [liveBrowser activateWithOptions:NSApplicationActivateIgnoringOtherApps] behaves a little better (at least on 10.8.5).

As a matter of preference, I didn't originally give focus to Chrome so that I could continue working on Brackets immediately after launching LD; but, I can see how it can be confusing in cases where the windows end up overlaying each other.

@redmunds should we put this matter of preferences up for discussion or just give Chrome focus by default?

For now, just give focus to Chrome. Once we get infrastructure and UI for preferences in place, then we can explore a preference.
