Stable Release of zebra-* crates #9625

Description

@mpguerra

Motivation

The majority of Zebra crates are still in alpha or beta stage. We should make stable releases of them

These are all the zebra crates currently listed in crates.io and their versions:

  • zebra-utils: v1.0.0-beta.46
  • zebra-grpc: v0.1.0-alpha.13 - we should decide what to do about this one
  • zebra-network v1.0.0-beta.46
  • zebra-node-services: v1.0.0-beta.46
  • zebra-rpc: v1.0.0-beta.46
  • zebra-script: v1.0.0-beta.46
  • zebra-state: v1.0.0-beta.46
  • zebra-test: v1.0.0-beta.46
  • zebra-chain: v1.0.0-beta.46
  • zebra-consensus: v1.0.0-beta.46
  • zebra-scan-rpc: v0.1.0-alpha.1
  • zebra-scanner: placeholder, never released
  • zebra-scan: v0.1.0-alpha.15
  • zebra-client: v0.0.0-placeholder.0
  • zebra-cli: v0.0.0-placeholder.0

Scope

The following is a list of decisions we need to make about releasing these crates, we can probably follow a similar process to what we do for the FROST crates:

  • Where should the docs link to for each crate?
  • Should we tie zebra-* crate releases to zebrad releases or should we release independently?
    • if independently, how do we decide when to make a release?
  • Anything else?
