Automatic update issues when current user isn't administrator

My day to day user on macOS isn't an admin. This seems to cause problems for Ohtipi in that it will constantly prompt to install a helper tool when an update is available, over and over, regardless if I accept or not. I usually just ignore for a little while before finally manually downloading and installing the latest version.

I think this is actually a problem for all Electron based apps, but some have managed to overcome it (like VS Code). Although looking through their git issues doesn't reveal how. I'm running Big Sur 11.6.4 (20G417).
