I'm currently pushing a Hebrew translation for the software.

Translating the software into Hebrew was very important to me, but due to lack of time, I initially used GPT and AI STUDIO to generate the translations.

I've manually reviewed a large portion of the translations, and once the software is fully available in Hebrew, I'll conduct a more thorough review to enhance accuracy and ensure the best user experience.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback or assistance in further improving these translations!

Thank you for the PR!
There are some grammar errors and duplicate messages in Translations/Docs/Manual/Hebrew.po, which I will fix.
The Hebrew translation will probably be included in WinMerge 2.16.47 Beta, which is scheduled for release on March 27.

In commit 116e08c, I made it possible to load Hebrew.po with WinMerge.
I also removed several dozen problematic translations from Translations/Docs/Manual/Hebrew.po.
For example, there was a lot of text in the English version that had XML tags but did not exist in the Hebrew version. Leaving this as it is will cause the HTML Help build to fail.

To build the Hebrew HTML Help, follow the steps below:

  1. Run DownloadDeps.cmd to download the necessary tools.
  2. Run Docs/Manual/update_translation.bat to update the manual XML files with the edited Hebrew.po.
  3. Run Docs/Manual/build_htmlhelp_he.bat to build the HTML Help. The generated files will be stored in Build/Manual/htmlhelp.

Most of the issues are likely in the Manual, since I translated it using Google's AI...
The rest was translated with GPT.

To build the Hebrew HTML Help, follow the steps below:

Do I need to clone the repository for this?
Can I download only specific files instead?
Thank you very much!

To build it, you need to clone it by running git clone https://github.com/winmerge/winmerge

You can also get the CHM file from the build artifacts below, but you need to unblock the ZIP file before extracting it:
