Are there alternative servos that can be used with this project that made in the USA?

In the same boat. I'd love to use this platform for my robotics courses, but this is way too expensive for to cover with a course fee...

I'm wondering if there are any alternative servos that aren't taxed so much...

The only option is the "100 AI Arm Motor Kit." (All 7.4V servos)
The "new 101" options listed on there are from China (so tariff...), and the "100 AI Arm Motor Kit Pro" (12V servos for follower arm) is out of stock.

Currently, for the only option mentioned above, the status on the website is "1 on backorder. Available on May 12, 2025"
