The app easyserviceoptimizer in the extras bucket hasn't been updated since 2017, and naturally doesn't show most of the services on a modern machine. So I question whether it remaining on scoop is appropriate, as any limited value it might have would be on very old machines.

First, I’ve transferred your discussion from ScoopInstaller/Scoop to ScoopInstaller/Extras, since it’s more relevant here.

Regarding your question:
At the moment, Scoop doesn’t have a formal mechanism for deprecating manifests (other than moving them to a deprecated directory) or for renaming manifests, but this is definitely something we can improve in the future.

Secondly, I’ve created an issue to start the process of deprecating the app you mentioned.
